MONOPOLY Live Review

MONOPOLY Live has been popular since the minute it was released by Evolution Gaming in 2019. The real money game show has compiled the game play from the popular Dream Catcher with what might be the most popular board game ever, Monopoly. The RTP of the game is 96.23% and features 6 different betting segments.

The game has 4 betting segments where you win multipliers directly, in addition to 2 different bonus segments. However, there is a “joker here, with the chance segment that can either award a multiplier on the next spin or an instant cash price. In this review, you will learn more the following about MONOPOLY live:

  • The Base Game
  • The Bonus Round
  • RTP on the segments
  • How Big Wins look like
  • Our opinion about the game
  • Where to play the game

The Base Game

The base game in MONOPOLY Live consists of 7 different segments, where you can bet on 6 of them. The one you can’t bet on, is the chance segment, but we will get back to how that works. We start off by concentrating on the normal segments 1 – 2 – 5 – 10 which represents instant win multipliers. For you to win on any of the numbers, two things have to happen. You have to bet on the number and the flopper has to land on the number.

The game allows you to place multiple bets, meaning you can for example place a bet both on 2s and 10s in the same spin. However, you will only get paid out the segment it lands on.

Moving on to the bonus segments. The game consists of two bonus segments named 2 rolls and 4 rolls. The name of the bonus segments represent the number of rolls you get inside the bonus round. The same betting rules apply to these segments, as you have to have a bet on them to qualify for the bonus round.

As previously stated, there is one segment you can’t bet on. This segment is the Chance Segment and represents the most thrilling segment in the base game. When you land on this, you will either be awarded an instant cash price or a multiplier. If you get a multiplier, this will boost the segments and the game host will respin the wheel.

Example of a chance spin:

You have 100 rupees on segment 10. The game host spins the wheel and the flopper stops on chance. The chance card reveals a 4x multiplier and the segment 10 now pays x40 the stake if the respin lands there.

PS! If the wheel lands on chance and then on the bonus segment, the multiplier will be added on top of the multipliers inside the bonus round.

In this video, you will both see how that looks as well as a hint how a hit like that can feel like.

The Bonus Round

When you enter the Bonus Round on MONOPOLY live, you will immediately recognize the traditional MONOPOLY board. It’s set up exactly similar to the original, but with different features. All real estate has a multiplier connected to it. This multiplier increases in size the further around the board you get. It typically starts off with a x2 and ends around a x100.

The first thing that happens, is that Evolution adds houses and hotels on random spots around the board. What this does, is that it increases the multiplier on the segments it lands on.

Depending on which bonus round you hit in the base game, it is now time to roll the dice either 2 or 4 times. You win the multiplier on the segments you land on.

At this point, you should be hoping for high doubles, as doubles give you an additional roll and increase your chances of reaching the big multipliers.

Another feature you should know about is when you reach Start. When that happens, all the multipliers around the board, doubles.

On top of being the WORLD RECORD win on MONOPOLY live, this video show almost every feature available in the Bonus Round. It’s almost impossible not to get excited about this win.

RTP and a Strategy based on it

Even if the overall RTP of the game is 96.23% it is important to know that the different segments has different RTPs. The reason why this is important, is that you should have a strategy when playing and this is the first step to find one.

No. on wheelNo. of segmentsRTPMin betMax betPayout
Cash / Multiplier
2 rolls393.90%€0.10€500Up to ₹500,000,000
4 rolls193.67%€0.10€250Up to ₹500,000,000

As you can see above, any strategy that involves high stakes on 1 and 5 should be avoided, while a betting strategy on MONOPOLY live that involves the segments 2 – 1 – 2 rolls – 4 rolls should be considered.

Our favourite strategy is betting 1 unit on 10s and 2 rolls while having 2 units on 2s and 4-rolls. Our experience is that this betting strategy normally keeps our balance quite stable for a long enough time to enter the 4-rolls without suffering too big losses in advance.

Our opinion about MONOPOLY live

It is truly difficult to not get too excited when we write our opinion, as it is by far our favourite game in the world of online casinos. That includes the likes of blackjack, roulette, slots and sports betting. We are always on the look for high quality entertainment consisting of a fun base game and the potential of that huge win. MONOPOLY live ticks both of those boxes in an elegant way.

On top of capturing the essence of the original board game, Evolution has truly gone above and beyond when adding features that makes this game one of the most exciting experiences out there.

The design, music and game flow is brilliant, and there is no other game we would be more excited about recommending to you.
